Ladders are a system of never ending ranking. You move up and down the "ladder" continuously. Your wins and losses are saved, as well as alot of other stats. You play games on the ladder with other ladder members and when you lose, you report the loss to give the winner the credit fdor the win so they can move up the ladder. There are also alot of tournaments that are run by the ladder.
Once you sign up for a ladder, (by clicking "free sign up" on any ladder . There are ladders for alll kinds of games many, many games, you can join which ever ones yo want. As many as you want. But you can only have 1 ladder name per ladder. One account for each ladder.) you are eligable to join the tournaments. They are fun, and very exciting. The ladder will keep track of your tournament (games) wins/losses and how many tournaments you win also. On the main ladder page there is a jump box. That box is for jump numbers for tournaments. When you are in the Uk Fludo room playing ladder games, you will hear the talk about jump nimbers. These numbers are the way that you will get to tournament page that are not on the tournament calendar. When TD s add tournaments on spur of the moment, these tournaments will not be on the tournament calendar, so you will need the jump numbers to get to the tournament page. Once you get the jump number, you put it into the jump box on the main page, then hit enter, the page will then come up. All you have to do next to get into the tournament is click on register, enter your ladder name and password, check the agree box and click register. 1 half hour before a tournament starts check in will begin. Check in is important. It is where you verify your passwor and take the final step to enter yourself into the tournament. If you DO NOT check in you will be removed from the tournament when the TD closes registration. You need to check in to all tournaments. When the tournament starts you click on the standings or pairings link on the tournament page to find out who you play. It is that easy. Have fun.
